Graphic Annunciators

A Graphic Annunciator is a piece of Fire Alarm Equipment, which shows the Fire Alarm device location, within the floor layout. It provides the fireman with quick information, as the Graphic Annunciator illustrates the exact location of the alarm, thereby, increasing the Fireman’s response time. With the Graphic Annunciator, the Fireman does not have to scroll through touchscreens, to find the device that has gone into alarm.

The Graphic Annunciator design can vary according to code, the AHJ, and/or the owner of the facility. In some cases, all devices are shown with LEDs, and in other cases, the floorplan will be divided into zones, with a zone LED, and corresponding device type LEDs.

Kirkland specializes in Fire Alarm Graphic Design, having an exceptional drafting department, and Graphic Display methods, that allow for a clear, concise illustration of the layout, including using full color graphics. There is no additional charge for colors utilized in the display, with unlimited colors to choose from. Our product design provides an easy and inexpensive method to modify when changes are required in the future. With our unique manufacturing and printing process, a Kirkland Graphic Annunciator can range from a simple Matrix (Ladder) type display to full color high resolution digitally printed display never before seen in the industry. The Kirkland Graphic Annunciator is available in a number of standard sizes, but larger panels are our specialty. We can provide full color graphics, and can incorporate photographs/rendered images, logos etc.

GRAPHIC ANNUNCIATORS

Enclosures are constructed of cold rolled steel with fully welded and grounded seams and painted with a black powder textured coat for a truly finished appearance.
A variety of display materials are available. Standard is UL94VO flame retardant grade lexan, but anodized aluminum and stainless steel also available.

The annunciator enclosure shall be constructed of cold rolled steel with welded and ground seams for a finished appearance. The backbox shall be finished with a black powder coating. The annunciator door shall have a concealed stainless steel piano hinge and shall be finished in a black powder coating or stainless steel as directed by the engineer. The door shall be secured by a key lock with no other fastener visible. The annunciator will have dual lamps per zone and black nomenclature on a white background. The lamp wiring shall be neatly harnessed to designated terminal blocks located in the annunciator backbox. The annunciator shall be manufactured by the H.R. Kirkland Company or an approved equal.

GRAPHIC METHOD GP-2

The annunciator enclosure shall be constructed of cold rolled steel with welded and ground seams for a finished appearance. The backbox shall be finished with a black powder coating. The annunciator door shall have a concealed piano hinge and shall be finished in a black powder coating, or stainless steel as directed by the engineer. The door shall be secured by a key lock with no other fasteners visible. All switches shall be mounted in the door trim.The display panel shall be a white image on gray (appears black) acrylic. The Led wiring shall be neatly harnessed to designated terminal blocks located in the annunciator backbox. A clear front pane shall render the image tamperproof. The LEDs are not visible until illuminated. The manufacturer shall submit drawings for approval prior to fabrication. The annunciator shall be Underwriters Laboratories listed. The annunciator shall be manufactured by the H.R. Kirkland Co. or approved equal.

GRAPHIC METHOD GP-3

The GP3 display is intended for Leds only, with Switches mounted in the trim of the door.
Display is a full color electronically printed lexan insert, sandwiched between a clear protective pane and a white aluminum backing.
The annunciator enclosure shall be constructed of cold rolled steel with welded and ground seams for a finished appearance. The backbox shall be finished with a black powder coating. The annunciator door shall have a concealed piano hinge and shall be finished in a black powder coating, or stainless steel as directed by the engineer. The door shall be secured by a key lock with no other fasteners visible. All switches shall be mounted in the door trim.The display panel shall be a full color acrylic laminate designed for LEDs only. The lamination shall consist of a UV coating, followed by a full color image and then a 1/8″ acrylic backing. The Led wiring shall be neatly harnessed to designated terminal blocks located in the annunciator backbox. The LEDs shall protrude through the acrylic, making the LEDs visible at all times. A clear front pane shall render the LEDs and the image tamperproof. The manufacturer shall submit drawings for approval prior to fabrication. The graphic annunciator shall be Underwriters Laboratories listed. The annunciator shall be manufactured by the H.R. Kirkland Co. or approved equal.

GRAPHIC METHOD GP-4

Rigidity of the panel allows its use on display in a range of 1-15 square feet.
Ideal for Control Panels (FSCS), as Switches are mounted in the display.
Leds and Switches mount through holes in the display. Dead Front (DF) display is available, thereby making the Leds tamperproof.
Lamination consists of a velvet textured polycarbonate face, a reverse printed image and a 1/8” aluminum backing. The display is printed with pigmented inks, for long life, on UL94VO flame retardant grade lexan. A dry erase coating is available.
Display is a full color electronically printed lamination designed for Leds, Switches and/or customer supplied LCD.
The annunciator enclosure shall be constructed of cold rolled steel with welded and ground seams for a finished appearance. The backbox shall be finished with a black powder coating. Tamperproof
No switches in the display area.
Requires approximately one (1) watt per square inch.
Backlighted partitioned areas (min. size 5/8” x 5/8”), max. size 30 square inches.
Display is a full color electronically printed lamination designed for areas to be backlighted. Lamination consists of a velvet textured polycarbonate face, followed by a full color image and a 1/8” aluminum backing.

GRAPHIC METHOD GP-6

Additional charge for colors.
Not recommended with switches in the display unless the clear front pane is omitted.
A clear front pane renders the Leds and display tamperproof.
This method can be used with interior and exterior graphics.

The door shall be secured by a key lock with no other fasteners visible.The graphic display shall be a black image on clear anodized aluminum or stainless steel. The graphic display can also include colors. The LED wiring shall be neatly harnessed to designated terminal blocks located in the annunciator backbox. The LEDs shall protrude through the aluminum or stainless steel making the LEDs visible at all times. A clear front pane shall render the LEDs and the image tamperproof. The manufacturer shall submit drawings for approval prior to fabrication. The graphic annunciator shall be Underwriters Laboratories listed. The annunciator shall be manufactured by the H.R.
